India plans chemical mapping of the moon, mars, and beyond – why is India shying away from manned missions?
India Daily Technology Team
Oct. 7, 2007

It is interesting to hear Indian Space Research Organization’s Mars planetary mission, project director, M Annadurai in Chennai IT. He was describing the features of Chandrayanaa-I, India’s unmanned lunar mission to the mission to the moon. He categorically said that India is interested on studying the lunar polar ice and that will help in deep communication in space.

India plans to use Spectroscopy and X-ray fluorescence techniques for chemical mapping of the moon, mars, and beyond.

When asked about manned mission to moon, Mr. Annadurai avoided the question. India is an open and free country. It will not do something that cannot be done. Sources from China say, the Chinese manned mission to moon and beyond can be scraped.

Why did Russia and America never have any manned lunar missions since 1969? The answer may lie in the fact that these Governments are not allowed to travel space as they wish by the extraterrestrials. Perhaps humans are restricted to a few hundred miles above the earth!

Many think tanks believe that the extraterrestrial civilizations around us (in several light years vicinity) do not want us to explore the space ourselves. They have no problem if we send a probe anywhere as long as it does not carry any living beings.
