The secret ultimatum by Myanmar Junta to Aung San Suu Kyi
Reena Mathur
Oct. 5, 2007

She is under house arrest. Her voice is not on public media. But her heart is at Myanmar’s democratic movement. She is unstoppable now. The infamous Junta of Myanmar is now getting ready to talk to Suu Kyi.

But even now as the end game of the junta is near, they have placed some ultimatum on her. She must denounce any action against the junta. It is a case where terrorists are forcing the victim to tell the authorities to let the terrorists go.

If Myanmar junta is not a terrorist, who is? They want no sanctions from international civilized communities. They want their bank accounts not touched. They want Suu Kyi to help them maintain the status quo.

But it is too late for the junta. Their time has ended. They must go.

The air in Myanmar smells that of freedom and democracy in the middle of thousands of innocent lives shed to stop the barbaric junta from torture and outright violation of human rights. China is their best friend. But even China now faces the world community.
