UK and Euro Zone will be hit five times harder than US from credit squeeze – another reason to go long on US Dollar

The credit squeeze and outright distaste for low quality mortgages are hitting UK, Euro Zone, Australia and New Zealand more than America. Although the trouble has its seed in the US, the American economy is too big to get affected by the sub prime tidal wave of year 2007.

Analytic models show the sub prime route is not over yet. The tip of the iceberg is just exposed. It seems although, the effect o the mortgage fiasco much heavier on the UK and somewhat larger in Euro Zone that America. The American economy is so big that the chaotic mortgage storm could not move the big ship much. However, Europe and especially UK economy is in trouble.

EU and UK are headed for a recession while US economy is muddling through. The financial meltdown is affecting smaller economies far more than the larger economies.
