Al-Qaeda base in Bangladesh planning to target practice suicide and remote controlled bombings in Indian crowds before attacking the West
India is on the alert. Al-Qaeda has its new base in Chittagong hills of Bangladesh. Osama Bin Laden is in Waziristan but the terror camps, influence and apparatus has moved to Bangladesh away from NATO forces in Afghanistan.
According to some think tanks, these decentralized Al-Queda groups are planning to strike India in a coordinated way, in the 911 style, to scare every Indian. The plans are to attack at least sixty cities simultaneously causing tens of thousands of casualties all over India. Some also believe they are target practicing on India before taking it on the West and Israel.
The Indian Government has alerted all states, including Tamil Nadu, on a possible strike in crowded areas of major cities, following the terrorist attacks at Hyderabad.
The Tamil Nadu DGP had also received such an alert and security was being beefed up in all major places in the city, Police Commissioner Nanjil Kumaran told reporters here.
He said the alert was not specific to Chennai. "However all lodges, market places and other crowded areas are being provided additional security," he said.
India keeps insisting that these terror groups are locals from Bangladesh and Pakistan. But in reality they are part and parcel of the Al-Queda – the umbrella organization still funded with the covert oil money of the Middle East.
It is sad that the Indian Government failed to realize the influence of Al-Queda in India. They did not cope up with the security requirements needed to route out Al-Queda type terror mechanisms within and around the country.
