Congress Party and Indian Government lying again – Truth: No talks on India-specific safeguards agreement with IAEA in Vienna in Sept

The Congress Party is falsifying the truth again. They just do not get it. They are telling Indian Government Agencies to keep lying to people of India that India-specific safeguards agreement with IAEA in Vienna in September is on the course.

The fact is that the communists in India are successful in halting and reversing the course of the 123 nuke agreement implementation. Everything in that respect is on hold in spite of the American insistence to proceed ahead.

No one should blame America for what has happened. It is a fatal political blunder by Indian PM Manmohan Singh and super PM Sonia Gandhi. They jointly decided to hide facts of Hyde Act from people of India. They disregarded the need for transparency. The negotiations should have been conducted with full support of Indian people.

The fact is that it was a negotiated middle ground that both sides reached. While the American Government was telling the American people the truth, the Indian Government was lying to the Indian people under the guidance of PM Manmohan Singh and super PM Sonia Gandhi. Sooner or later the cat is out of the bag.

People in India do not like the communists except in three states – West Bengal, Kerala and Tripura because of Chinese influence on these ‘so called communists’. BJP led NDA right from the beginning opposed the nuke deal because of lack of transparency. Now the communists are up in arms because China does not want it.

These communist do not like the Americans. They follow the Chinese doctrine. The doctrine is simple. Use America to get their dollars and then defy them totally. America is China’s main enemy. It is also the enemy of the Indian communists.

The nuke 123 agreement is in trouble because of several reasons. Moderate Indians are less reluctant to trust America after what has happened in Iraq and the Middle East. The Left of the political spectrum now realizes that India is slowly becoming an anti-China tool for America. Indian nationalists that do not use minorities to win election and then dump them, the BJP led NDA is upset because the Congress Party lied continuously on the nuke deal.

CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechuri today said the talks on India-specific safeguards agreement with IAEA would not be held at the forthcoming meeting of the international nuclear watchdog in Vienna this month.

"It would not be discussed in the September meeting of the IAEA", Yechury told reporters when asked what the Left parties would do if the government went ahead with the discussions relating to IAEA safeguards.

Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Anil Kakodkar is scheduled to travel to Vienna later this month to attend an IAEA conference.

Because of blatant lies by the Congress Party, something unthinkable has happened that may strain a great relationship between India and America. The communists are now calling shots on the nuke deal.

It is a shame that India did not fire this insane envoy of India who called Indian politicians opposing 123-nuke agreement with America ‘headless chicken’. This guy should work for a dictator like Musharraf and not for a democracy like India.
