A manufacturing stagnation is confirmed by the lower Philadelphia Fed number

The Philadelphia Fed number is weaker than expected. One of the recent bright spots in the economy – the manufacturing is also slowing down. The manufacturing is more cyclical than anything else. The Federal Reserve is closely watching the manufacturing, retail sales and capacity utilization numbers. Fed is nervous about the economy.

The service sector and manufacturing are headed towards a major slowdown. Philadelphia Fed number always provides an early lead.

The M&A, bubble, the manufacturing slowdown, consumer sentiment, as well as confidence and business confidence point to a weaker economy.
