Eight UK police officers and civilian staff are being suspected of having links to extremist groups, including the Al Qaida.
In the wake of the June 30 bombings, there is a fear that individuals linked to Islamic extremism are taking advantage of police attempts to increase ethnic staff.
According to the Daily Mail, some of them have attended terror training camps in Pakistan or Afghanistan, and their names are on a secret list of alleged radicals said to be working in the Metropolitan and other forces.
