Al-Queda frustrated with well-coordinated anti-terror activities in US, UK, and Australia
For the first time Al-Queda has in its plate things to worry about. The recent terror campaign through sleeping cells with a network of medical professionals failed. The organization’s deplorable terror campaign is now well challenged with well coordinated anti-terror activities in US, UK, and Australia.
The speed with which the sleeping cells spread out across continents were found and neutralized is amazing. The authorities must be credited for their hard work and perseverance.
United Kingdom is the easiest place for the Islamic terrorists to put sleeping cells. But it was unimaginable how Al-Queda recruited killers who are supposed to save lives. It is extremely serious when you realize all these doctors were under oath to save lives at any costs.
It is time for the Islamic communities across the world to realize what has happened. It is a case of breach of trust. It is a case where basic fundamental assumptions in a society have been sacrificed to gain terror campaign.
Australian police arrested Muhammad Haneef, 27, on Monday at the international airport in the eastern city of Brisbane as he tried to board a flight with a one-way ticket, believed to be to India via Malaysia. They acted on information from their British counterparts.
Haneef is being held under counter terrorism laws that allow police to detain a suspect without charge as long as a judge agrees there are grounds to do so.
Australian Federal Police Commissioner, Mick Keelty, said authorities were granted permission late on Tuesday to hold Haneef for another 48 hours without charge, and that this could be extended if there were ``reasonable grounds.''''
