The mysterious type of bursting events believed to come from neutron stars is the soft gamma-ray repeater burst is catching the eyes of scientists for a long time. But recently they find evidence of extraterrestrial experimentation.

These typically last from 0.1 seconds to 3 seconds and have spectral peaks in the 10 keV to 30 keV range. Soft gamma-ray repeaters have in the past been identified with supernova remnants. Some scientists now believe that extraterrestrial influence and experimentation create these bursts of gamma rays from the dense neutron stars.

The neutron stars are not only mysterious but also massively resourceful. It is a source of limitless energy and can also big source of all kinds of elements and essential metals.

Type I extraterrestrial civilizations are hungry for resources like energy, metals, and so on. The soft gamma-ray repeaters and whopping magnetic fields from neutron stars are most likely the effect of deep penetrating mining by the extraterrestrials.

The microphysical events in the neutron stars are of special importance. The search for extraterrestrial civilizations should be focused on these mining activities. The extraterrestrial civilizations can be far away from us but we can surely meet them in their mining ventures. Of course the question is, when will out terrestrial technologies allow us to mine a neutron star?
