What happens to world stock market if Chinese market crash – where does Dow go?
Peter Oberois
May 24, 2007

When Alan Greenspan pointed out something we have been telling for the last one-year, Wall Street experienced a sudden chill in its bone. It is almost certain now that the Indian and Chinese markets will undergo a massive contraction that will miniscule the 1929-33 US bear market.

The US market is now experiencing a global trend of excess liquidity.  If China crashes, so do the global stock markets.  The international financial institutions will rush their liquidity to counter Chinese market crash. They will eventually realize the problems in Chinese economy and fiscal infrastructure.  But in the mean time the rest of world stock market will collapse to some extent. <P>

China and India constitutes a large portion of global growth but relatively less percentage of the overall size of the global economy. As a result, the global effect will be contained to some extent.  However, Japan, US, and EU have their problems. That will affect the respective stock market.  The US stock market will resume its bear trend that started in year 2000 and make new lows before the end of 2009.
