Early indications that North Korea is getting ready to get rid of Nukes
A lot of rumbling and grumbling but some interesting move behind the scene – that is the scenario from North Korea. The Chinese may have influenced North Korea to do what is needed for world peace and prosperity.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Il said during a Feb. 21 meeting with senior Chinese official Wang Jiarui that North Korea is ready to resume six-party talks regarding the North's nuclear ambitions at any time provided conditions are met.
According to sources within North Korea, North Korea is preparing for an open indeed talks with the six-nation coalition. They are slowly getting ready to get rid of Nukes and Nuke raw materials in exchange of six-nation security guarantee.
The Russian and Chinese strategic alliance was critical in convincing North Korea that Nukes does not mean much to its security infrastructure. They know if Russians, Chinese and Americans can guarantee their security, it is a win-win situation for North Korea.
The top U.S. nuclear negotiator to North Korea said that the United States is not willing to offer new incentives to Pyongyang in exchange for its return to the six-party talks aimed at resolving North Korea's nuclear weapons program. The announcement came after North Korean leader Kim Jong Il asked Washington to show "trustworthy sincerity and move."
Most likely the rumbling and grumbling will continue for now with a lot of harsh words and reluctance to come back to negotiations table. But slowly they will change their positions and strike a deal with the six-nation negotiation coalition.
The challenge will be to monitor if they would do what they say they will do.
