The Chief Architect of Iraq War ‘railroaded’ by World Bank Directors
Sonia Zaveri
Apr. 25, 2007

No one knows how long World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz – the chief architect of the Iraq war can survive in the World Bank. But his attorney Robert Bennett points out that he is “railroaded’ by the institution.

According to media reports, World Bank directors rejected a request by President Paul Wolfowitz's lawyer to make a presentation when the lender's chief appears at a hearing to defend his decision to give his companion a pay increase.

A committee of the bank's board yesterday told Wolfowitz to appear before them today, also turning down a request for more time to prepare, said Robert Bennett, an attorney for Wolfowitz.

Robert Bennett is not happy man. He perhaps knows that his client’s days are numbered. The controversy surrounding the Chief Architect of Iraq War goes up and up in the World Bank. According to some think tank, Robert Bennett will be able to provide Wolfowitz a survival kit. It will interest how Japan, America, and South Africa pull it through against what Wolfowitz has done!
