What happened to Microsoft Vista? Why is it below seventy degrees with wind chill?
Peter Oberois
Feb. 17, 2007

Microsoft shares are falling rapidly as the company officials openly accept it now that Vista marketing campaign is not going that well.
What happened to Microsoft Vista? Why is it below seventy degrees with wind chill?
The answer lies not with Microsoft’s performance. The market is just not ready to accept any new product of that kind right now. The market is tired. The consumers and computer users do not need a new operating system. The focus now is business applications that can save money and increase productivity.
The focus is not how to make things more users friendly. The focus is on getting work done with minimal effort. The businesses are changing. More and more servers are doing business over the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and the Internet. Human beings are monitoring the transactions. In a browser based world, there is very little need for a new operating system. Who wants to learn new stuffs every few years?
