150 Enrons just waiting to happen – option backdating scandal now just getting unveiled – what is the effect on Stocks? Nothing will happen until the stock market is performing well. As the economy under performs, corporate profits shrink, the individual stocks will turn and head lower. With lower a stock market comes disgruntled investors. The probes will start. The corporate management boardrooms will get probed by regulators, investors, and even by employees of the corporation.

In the initial phase as high as 150 companies may cover up and finally disclose their problems including manipulating books for the last several years. Many Enrons just are waiting to happen.

Yesterday Monster Worldwide's former general counsel pleaded guilty to fraud.
