Congress after buying BJP MLAs to take control of the country : BJP Leader: Venkaiah Naidu
According to BJP the Congress party is trying to buyout MLAs from BJP all over India to keep control overt the individual states in India.
BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday accused Congress of looking for desertion of MLAs to cobble up a working majority in Goa assembly and apprehended that Uttar Pradesh would be the next target of that party as it contemplates to ''''repeat a Goa-like exercise''''.
"The statements of Goa Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane and Congress spokesman in New Delhi has made it clear that they are expecting desertions of MLAs from BJP. It is a bad sign for democracy," the former BJP president told a press conference here.
The Congress, he said, had misused power by dismissing various state governments 82 times in the past.
"The non-UPA government in the states, including UP, will be its next target." Describing Goa as a ''''test case'''' for democracy-loving forces to launch a struggle, he said otherwise Congress would ''''again take India towards authoritarianism''''.
"We have heard of a broad daylight murder but in the case of Goa it appears to be a midnight murder of democracy," he said adding the Manohar Parrikar government there was dismissed though it had proved its majority on the floor of the house.
