Saddam’s ugly killing by ‘Sadr killers’ sets the stage for dividing Iraq into three autonomous regions sharing common oil revenues
Preeti Singhani
Jan. 6, 2007

The implications of the cell phone video leak is far reaching than what people can imagine. Now the moderate Sunnis in and outside Iraq are determined not to compromise with those who handed Saddam to these Sadr-chanting killers and the Shiite vengeance full Government of Iraq under Shiite dominance.

The biggest problem now is unnoticed. The Kurd are dancing with joy. Iraq now will get divided into three autonomous regions as America pulls out after new plans of more troops and raw cash fail to calm down Baghdad. The Kurds will get what they wanted for decades. They can now form their homeland. They can bring in other Kurds from Iran and Turkey to form a grater Kurdistan. Secretly, the Turkish military is getting ready to take out the Kurds. A nightmare can emerge after America pulls as the Soviets did from Afghanistan. After Americans leave, Saudi Arabia and Iran will try to help Sunnis and Shiites in Iraq to capture dominance. It may outbreak into a war between Iran and Saudi Arabia. In the middle of all this Turkey can attack autonomous Kurdistan and dampen Kurd nationalism.

The politics in Iraq is very complex. Saddam was the butcher of Baghdad. He killed millions to control Iraq. But the aftermath of killing by the Sadr-killers is even more horrific.

The biggest irony is – Kuwait may end up in Iranian hands with Shiites and Sadr people marching on it.
