The stock is up 7.2% after hours. The profits doubled and the revenue increased by 70%. Analysts wander what’s the magic for ever booming Google.
The secret is simple and can be described in a few words – new media. The newspaper ads are declining and Google’s increasing. But what is really working for Google in beating Yahoo, MSN and other competitors is the empowering of small entrepreneurs who manage innovative and informative web sites. It is like capitalism in true working and showing its strength. Google allows these small web site operators perform, stay independent and paid top dollars through ads in their sites. And that is working.
Yahoo could not come out of its beta program. MSN is not even trying. There are some smaller operators who try the Google model but end up failure. For Google its like no one is close to it to compete.
