Asian stocks weak on US growth prospects – a recession in America can devastate them

The stock markets all across Asia are weak today. The prospect lower economic growth is pulling these stocks down. The prospect of lower export is hurting the Toyota, Sony and others.
Analytic models are showing that US is headed for a major recession in 2007. Asian stocks are looking ahead and taking clues from the stats coming out. The industrial production and capacity utilization numbers were weak. That made the Asian stocks trade at lower levels.
There is another factor also playing heavily. Like WalMart many other American companies are planning to push into Asian economies and markets. That local competition at home is the last thing these Asian companies want. That is also a major factor.
