Dengu is spreading like fire. Indian officials are trying to understand how it started and why now? This not a season when Dengu should just takes off like that. Was it part of an international covert sabotage? Was it an act of terror?
AIIMS screened 892 patients for dengue out of which 28 turned out to be positive. As many as 151 patients, including Bihar JD(U) chief Rajiv Ranjan alias Lallan Singh, are undergoing treatment at the AIIMS for the viral disease, health officials said.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh visited AIIMS this morning to review medical facilities for dengue patients and also inquired about the well being of patients admitted in general wards.
Indian experts are analyzing how this got started all on a sudden in a totally off-season.
Dengue virus is spread by the bite of female Aedes mosquito that breeds in clean stagnant water.
Interestingly, where Dengu started and spread over does not show signs of stagnant water.
