The General needs to think before he talks and writes. Musharraf has virtually blamed the US and other western countries for terrorism emanating from his country. You cannot blame others for terrorists nurtured in your own country and by your own military intelligence agency ISI.

Terrorists are terrorists. These are street thugs. Once you associate with these elements and nurture them in name of independence movements or Islamic movements, you are in trouble. Because these are total thugs when you ask them to stop, they defy you. You cannot expect military discipline from street thugs.

That is the biggest problem of Pakistan today. For sixty-five years it has instigated these thugs elements in killing, raping and torturing Hindus. In 1948, 1965, 1971 and 1999 wars Pakistan send these thugs in India to cause trouble first before all out war broke out. Pakistan military believes the only way to encounter India is to take the war on Indian ground. Genral Musharraf lead the Kargil war based on that philosophy. Pakistan knows very well its military is no match to India's. So Pakistan has decided decades back that it will covert war to India. That is the basis of existence of ISI and instigations in Jammu and Kashmir. Some of Pakistani Generals just cannot forget the 1971 total humiliation of its Army by the Indian Army.

That is the basis of Pakistan's support for the terrorists. Now with superpower watching their every move, they are trying to get away from terrorist sponsorship in the western front of Afghanistan. They do not care on the Indian front thinking ''what can India really do!''

But the problem is the so-called terror operators it sponsored all along are thugs and not disciplined military. That is backfiring now. The thugs become terror operators because they can come into limelight from street corners. They cannot give up their importance so easily.

The only way out for Pakistan and the whole world is to dismantle ISI under UN supervision and terror networks dismantled by a world anti-terror body. UN has to get involved to bring Pakistan out of this mess. It will also need a complete real democracy in Pakistan.
