India must turn Western companies away and close the outsourcing door forever
Ritu Parna Bose
Sep. 30, 2006

India must turn Western companies away and close the outsourcing door forever. Money cannot buy India - India is not as cheap as the Western world thinks.

India has diverted most of its talents to IT and phone call making and receiving through call centers. Some greedy Indian oligarchs are exploiting Indian youth to make some money from the Western companies that come to India in search for cheap “cyber coolies and phone operators.” India’s strategic talent has been diverted towards total useless things like legacy computer programming and phone call operations. When you multiply dollar with 46, yes it is a lot of rupees and some of that is what Indian youth are getting as India plunges into slave status.

India should have learnt the trauma of British rule for more than 200 years. India was literally stripped all her wealth and made a slave country by the British. Today the same is happening “intellectually”.

It is unfortunate that Indian politicians in the name of democracy serves a handful families – the oligarch that control India. It is a shame that these oligarchs are greedy for money and have little regard for the mother India.

India faces economic challenges from the West, strategic geopolitical challenges from China and violent as well as disruptive ''terror'' challenge from Pakistan and Bangladesh. The situation for Mother India is not that great. India as a country is united within diversity. The outsourcing gimmick has to come to an end. India should refuse these Western companies from buying Indian talents cheap.
