Reasearch in Motion looks good now with gains in BlackBerry subscribers but what about the future?

The stock is up 20% with 27% surge in net earnings. But those who own RIM for long time are taking the opportunity to download their shares in middle of a new related stock surge.

Research In Motion (RIM) is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of innovative wireless solutions for the worldwide mobile communications market.

Through the development of integrated hardware, software and services that support multiple wireless network standards, RIM provides platforms and solutions for seamless access to time-sensitive information including email, phone, text messaging (SMS and MMS), Internet and intranet-based applications.

RIM technology also enables a broad array of third party developers and manufacturers to enhance their products and services with wireless connectivity to data.

The biggest hotcake of RIM is their BlackBerry. It has become the symbol of corporate email and other communication mechanisms. The subscriber base is huge.

But it is also plagued with maturing technology and customer complaints about using PDAs day long with stain in finger and so on.

According to some analysts, RIM is agood company but the prospects of ecessive growth in the short run in bleak.
