How much will Amaranth investors recover as the hedge fund finally liquidates assets

The troubled hedge fund group has finally decided to liquidate asssets and return whatever is left to the investors who trusted the hedge fund.

They will liquidate the assets and even agree for a sell out to other larger firms. Brian Hunter who made the catastrophic matural gas bets is not available for comments. The hedge fund group says he is no longer with Amaranth.

According to some experts Man Financial or similar group will buy the fund out. Investors will get some back but the confidence in hedge fund in going down by days.

The hedge fund lost close to $6 billion in natural gas bets. The regulators are looking into the details of the catastrophic trades.
