Lennar's sharp drop in margins confirms bust in real estate sector and fast slowing US economy.

The Miami-based company painted a gloomy outlook for the US economy.

Lennar is exposed to ''high boom''real estate in Florida and california. The company's outlook shows that the real estate bust is real and much deeper than Federal Reserve anticipates.

Lennar's gross margin fell from mid twenties to high teens. The outlook in coming months are way more gloomy.
