Some 50 Thai university students and several academics protested the Sept. 19 coup and its illegitimate leaders on Sept. 25 at Thammasat University.

Things are not normal in Thailand.

Thailand's ruling Council for Democratic Reform under the Constitutional Monarchy has named former World Trade Organization Director-General Supachai Panitchpakdi the interim prime minister, The Nation reported Sept. 25, citing unnamed sources. The report also said Privy Council President Prem Tinsulanonda and former National Security Council Secretary-General Prasong Soonsiri helped convince Supachai to accept the appointment.

Thailand's ruling military council has drafted an interim constitution to be released soon, Bahrain News Agency reported Sept. 25. The interim constitution will set guidelines for an interim government until a permanent constitution can be written.
