The auto makers'' top executives plan to meet next week to discuss specific alliance areas and ways to keep the media in dark about them.
GM, Renault and Nissan agree in priciple to form alliance but they are showing little signs of the same in public. Justifiably they want to surprise Toyota, Ford and Chrysler. The alliance will work, according to some experts and Karkorian will the hone-runner with it.
GM is focusing in gaining shares in Asia while holding turf in North America and Europe. Its plans in China and India are fabulous. Renault and Nissan will support the plans with their respective expertise in specific areas.
