Cablevision restated its financial results as an options probe escalated.hundredsw of other companies also face similar probe and and about to restate their results.

According to some media reports, they awarded options to a vice chairman after his 1999 death but backdated them to make it appear they were awarded when he was still alive.

Option backdating scandal has immnse implication on trust between invetors and corporate officers. It also has implication corporate governance and fair and simple justice.

US authorities are determined to make sure option back dating scandal never repeats and all the culprits are brought to justice.
