European commission may reject Microsoft’s Vista
Karen Hawkins
Sep. 19, 2006

EU will not allow Microsoft to bundle Internet search engine and a fixed-document reader into vista.

Microsoft according to some international software trade thinktanks is very upset about this. Internet search engine and a fixed-document reader are what make Vista the winner. EU understands that but does not agree to allow Microsoft twist the arms of other software companies again.

According to some media reports Microsoft has launched an all out campaign to discredit EU over the issue. Neelie Kroes, EU competition commissioner says there is no vandetta against Microsoft. The software giant must follow law of the land in Europe no matter what it can do in America.

The Vista operating system is also being closely scrutinized by Chuna, India, Brazil and Japan. Microsoft has managed to influnece these Governments to some extents. However, EU is a different story. Experts now say EU will not allow Microsoft to bundle Internet search engine and a fixed-document reader into vista.
