India loses 2-3 with Argentina in field Hockey and now is running for the lowest spot in 12 nation tounament
Surinder Singh
Sep. 16, 2006

What is the reson for such a down fall in Hockey for India?

India's exasperating sequence of defeats continued in familiar fashion as they again conceded late goals to go down 2-3 to Argentina in a 9-12 positions classification match in the hockey World Cup on Saturday.

India now run the risk of finishing with a wooden spoon for the second time in the history of the tournament as they meet South Africa in the 11-12 positions play-off match on Sunday.

Coach Vasudevan Baskaran's men, who had the game under control in the first half to go 1-0 up at the lemon break, failed miserably in the second half to surrender meekly to their South American rivals.
