There is more carsin Indian cities than the cities can ever handle. Little has been done in improving the infrastructure of these cities. Little can be done for immediate improvement.

In Koolkata it takes three hours to travel the same distance it used to take hardly twenty minuites before. Dehi, Mumbai, Chennai are even worse. Let us not mention the state of roads in Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

According to some media reports, Discounts, new launches and introduction of variants by automobile makers helped the domestic car market grow an amazing 22.94% in the April-August period this fiscal. The segment had grown only 8% last fiscal and recorded a compounded annual growth rate of 16% over the last 4 years. The global car market is growing at 4.5% annually.
