US gets a wake up call - asks India to be fair with Cola companies
Tania Shekhar
Sep. 12, 2006

India and China do what they need for them. America for the first time is getting a wake up call. The fair and open trade cannot be just one sided. It is time for US to close the door on H1B1 visas for ever.

US gets a wake up call - asks India to be fair with Cola companies.

In a letter to the Indian government, the US Under Secretary for International Trade Franklin Lavin urged Centre for fair treatment and ''level playing field'' towards PepsiCo and Coca-Cola.

India and China are coubntries that have suffered Western colonial torcher for centuries. You cannot blame them to be suspicious of everything. Free and fair trade cannot be one sided. Sooner or later they will close down the door on all goods and services from the West. But America stands like naive opeining its heart and soul for India and China allowing all their people and goods into America. The buzz world in Indian and Chinese main streets are "America is on sale - go and grab their dollars."

It is time for a change. America must tell the Indian and Chinese Governments - be fair or else!

China and India have also exploited their expatriates in America systematically. In a recent article, when a 14 yaer old American born girl (with Indian parents) visited her relatives in India, she was called an NRI (Non Resident Indian) when the Indians in India wanted money from her. Otherwise she is called ABCD - American Born Confused Desi.

It is shame on India and China. Also shame on American Administration that allow India and China to exploit Americans.
