It will be a battle between online experts and traditional media experts who finally understand that traditional media is just history.
TV and Newpapers are rushing to capitalize on online media advertisement. NBC plans six fold increase in revenue through iVillage (women’s website bought for more than $600m earlier this year) and other online sites.
ABC is planning similar digital activities to boost revenue from online and other digital activities by four folds. CBS has already gone ahead of others and are planning more acquistions.
Google and Yahoo may finally find some compition. However, it will interesting to see how the traditional media fight the survival war in a foreign unknown turf of digital activities.
