A private consotium of investment firms target Freescale Semiconductor, a former unit of Motorola for $16 Billion.
Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Company and Silver Lake Partners failed to satisfy the appetite of Freescale. According to sources, while the private investment group plans to present the $16 Billion offer, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Company and Silver Lake Partners would retiurn with even an higher bid.
The bidding war has just started, according to a private investment think tank.
