Tri-service Integrated Defense Staff (IDS) Headquarters in Delhi has some solid espionage suspects according sources close to Indian Government. The biggest surprise is the fact why the IDS did not take enough precaution after the cyber-espionage last month. Now they report a theft of three Central Processing Units (hard drives) on July 21.
The Defence Ministry on Saturday denied a media report that three computer hard disks were stolen from the tri-service Integrated Defence Staff (IDS) headquarters. But experts do not agree to the statement.
International think tanks believe that Pakistan’s ISI and Chinese intelligence are the prime suspects as India pursues the matter with very high urgency this time. According to the initial case registered by Delhi Police three hard disks along with printers were stolen from Room Number 49, South Hutments, of Defence Headquarters. The room, according to the complaint, was locked and sealed by officer in charge J N Awasthi on July 21. The keys were deposited at the gate at Kashmir House. The gate time recorded is 17:27 pm by Awasthi.
The IDF and internal security supervision now has enough trail to target the moles, sources say.
