Media Release
Jul. 18, 2006

Israel's military campaign is not intended to eliminate Hezbollah's Katyusha rockets within one day, but is instead systematically targeting the group's infrastructure, Israeli Deputy Chief of Staff Moshe Kaplinsky told Army Radio on July 18. Kaplinsky added that an assessment by a senior officer that the operation might end in a few days was "optimistic," though he does not believe the operation will last for months.
