EDS today announced that it has completed the acquisition of majority stake in MphasiS BFL by acquiring 83 million shares

EDS today announced that it has completed the acquisition of majority stake in MphasiS BFL by acquiring 83 million shares (approximately 52%) for approximately $380 million in cash.

According to an official release issued by EDS today, MphasiS will operate as an independent EDS company. "With the addition of MphasiS and current expansion plans, EDS’ total India work force is projected to exceed 20,000 by year-end," the release added.

MphasiS BFL, based in Bangalore, currently has 12,000 employees including 11,000 in India.
