Girls are being lured to modeling – then drugged, made nude, blackmailed, raped and finally used as call girls

The tale of this Delhi girl of XII class is not a solitary case. This is happening in tens of thousands in Indian cities. Young girls are eager to enter the world of modeling, fashion and Bollywood. They are lured by neighbors and sometimes by family members into people or organizations that drug them, make them nude, take their nude photos, blackmail them with these photos, rape them and finally try to use confine them and use them as call girls. 

Government needs to step in and take control of this mafia like characters.

What happened to a Delhi girl is horrific. A studio owner in Daryaganj was arrested after he along with several other persons allegedly raped a 20-year-old woman several times after drugging her. The police said the woman had gone to the studio for making a modelling portfolio. The woman lived in North East Delhi, and studied in Class XII. She told police that her neighbour Pradeep lured her into modelling and took her to the studio in Daryaganj owned by Sant Ram, in March this year. There Sant Ram offered her soft drink mixed with a drug, drinking which she fell unconscious. Police said, Sant Ram took her nude pictures. Sant Ram then allegedly blackmailed her and took her to his friend Jawahar’s house near Rajghat, where they allegedly raped her. The girl alleged Ajay, Pandit, Pankaj and Pradeep also raped her there. Police said Sant Ram and Jawahar took her to Haridwar on pretext of a photo shoot for a modelling assignment. There she was kept for months and allegedly raped after being drugged by the two and even the hotel owner. When Sant Ram again tried to blackmail her into going to Haridwar she broke down and narrated the incident to her father, police said. Both of them complained to police and a case of rape and illegal confinement was registered at Daryaganj. Officials said efforts were on to arrest the other accused in the case.
