Signal intelligence is a new concept in US and other Western countries. It is designed to recognize terrorist activities at the stage of planning and inception of any potential operations. Computers and software provide the necessary algorithm and search and find mechanisms for the agencies to detect terrorist activities and communication over mobile or cell phones. All the date is stored in a massive computer system and special artificial intelligence techniques are used to focus on any suspicious communication. If you are a cell phone user in India, you should not use trigger words unnecessarily like “Bomb”, “Jihad” etc. You should also take care of your personal or corporate secret matters. Bottom line is that your mobile or cell is bugged by foreign governments all the time in an intelligent manner. Recent bugging of UN by British intelligence is an excellent application of Signal Intelligence. Recent advancement in speech recognition, computational intelligence and data archival procedures make it possible to actually monitor every cell phone in India or Pakistan.
